Robert Morris Statue

Robert Morris’ statue is situated between the First and Second National Banks reminding us of his pivotal role in the Revolution. He was one of the greatest financiers and contributors to the American cause. However, at the end of his life, he was penniless and served time in debtors’ prison. When the war was over, he had lost all his wealth through bad investments in land speculation.
